My EDM Journey

I was dying to write a blog post for so long but for my "Awesome Computer " had to delay this post by 3-4 months probably .. So here I am ready now to write about "My EDM Journey" ..

As I Begin the first question which might arise on your mind would be , "What is EDM ?? " .. EDM means Electronic Dance Music . << Check this link first to exactly know what is EDM and its entire history .. I am not going to explain to you as it will deviate me from what i was going to write here .. So lets begin without further delay ..

I was always a person who used to show his interest on any kind of dance music .. I remember those School days when i used to listen to shows like Club Mirchi on Radio .. Maybe that was the first giant step toward EDM for me .. I used to like grooving to the Bollywood remixes they used to play , as that was something new to me and obviously which sounded good to my ears .. During those days Djing in India was all about making bollywood remixes ..Dj Aqeel , Dj Suketu who can forget those famous name ...people still love to listen to there bollywood remixes ..

Years went by and One bright day I was introduced to EDM by the music channel Vh1 India .. How ? It was that epic video " Dance4Life " which was being played regularly , the track which introduced me to the EDM legend Tiesto .. The theory that less than six degrees of separation lie between every living human and the amazing beats which were used in this video made me realize that this is the kind of music i wanted to listen ..
I started googling more about Tiesto and his music .. The track Ten Seconds Before Sunrise confirmed i would be his fan forever and it also introduced me to the beautiful world of Trance Music .. What can I say about Trance music it can make you smile , cry and at the same moment appreciate yourself for being faithful to EDM .. Internet Radio shows like A state of Trance , Trance Around the World and Global DJ Broadcast helped me learn more about Trance music and its sub genres .. These internet radio shows were a great platform to meet people from around the world who loved listening to Trance Music as much as I do ... In Twitter we have a small family called #TranceFamily , u can find all those crazy people out there .. :-) With time passing by I also explored other genres of EDM like House Music , Techno , Electro , Disco , Dubstep .. Some great DJs I came across from these genre are David Guetta , Daft Punk , Swedish House Mafia , Deadmau5 , Nero , Bob Sinclar , Benny Benassi .. Livesets is an awesome website if you want to explore more of EDM Podcasts & Events ..The best Internet Radio to follow EDM would always be di.fm ..

With time this kind of music started becoming monotonous for me .. I needed something different from EDM and which was more closer to my culture .. Then came Bobby Friction's Friction Show ( A BBC Radio Show ) to the rescue which is based on Asian Underground , Asian Dubstep , Asian Electronica and everything Desi music can offer to you ..My respect for Asian Underground music has increased a lot after listening to music from legendary artist like Karsh Kale , Niraj Chag , Bobby Friction , Nitin Sawhney , Bally Sagoo , Biddu , Panjabi MC , The Rishi Rich Project and many more .. The future of Asian Underground looks promising with new music artist like Govind Bhachu and Sharaab ..

I don't know how long i would continue listening to EDM and what next EDM would be able to offer me .. EDM has never failed to surprise me whenever i thought it was getting boring it came back with a "Bang" .. It has been a wonderful journey till now .. Djing can now be considered as a great career option .. I know a lot of people who started Djing as a hobby but slowly & steadily they are now turning it into a career .. If you think Djing is all about playing requested bollywood tracks at rave parties .. Then I am sorry to say, you know nothing about Djing .. Maybe i will write a blog about Djing soon .. I am so happy to see EDM growing in India at a rapid rate with the success of Sunburn Festival in 2011 .. Finally people in India have started understanding what EDM is all about and showing interest on it .. If you are interested in EDM then don't feel shy to explore this genre of music because few years later you might be writing a blog article on it like I did today .. :-)

Have been working for a while now in Tech Support .. Our job is provide technical solutions to customers about there electronic devices ( in my case its Desktop PC ) .. Sounds good , right ? .. Hold on !! I give u a scenario read it .. Tring Tring .. here comes the call ..
Tech Agent : Thank you for calling xyz .. May i have your first and last name please ?
Customer : Hey my name is Adam .. I just have a quick question .. !!
Tech Agent : I will try level best to answer all your questions , however i need to register ur name and product under our database ..
Customer : ok .. ( customer answers in a annoyed voice , as he has already spent more than 30 minutes on IVR before reaching the Tech Support )

After registering the name , phone no , email address as well as unit information which takes a another good 10 minutes depending on customer's agility , we are ready for customer's quick question !!

Customer : I just wanted to know why i am not able to get internet in my computer ? This is so frustating i just brought a brand new computer just 1 hour ago from ZzZz Store , why it shows "no connection available" ?? I am using a wireless internet connection which i had never any problem with my previous zyx computer !! Please help !

Tech Agent fears the "Inevitable" .. Tech Agent checks the product specification and finds there is no wireless card on the computer ..

Tech Agent : Well Adam your computer doesn't support wireless internet connection as it doesn't have a wireless card , however your can get wireless internet connection on your computer by buying a wireless mini card or a wireless network adapter which will give your high speed broadband internet connection on your computer ..

Customer is shocked and doesn't know what to say !!

Customer: Are u freaking serious dude ? I just spend $600 for this computer and u say i gotta spend more money in it ?

Tech Agent : In that case i would suggest u to go ahead and create a wired internet connection on your computer for which u don't have to spend a single cent and i would help you with creating the new internet connection ..

Customer: Its ok dude , thanks for wasting my time and letting me know that i just bought a piece of junk !! I will never buy a xyz computer again and i will make sure nobody around me buys your product !! Thank You !!
Original caller hung up !!

The Tech Agent tries to callback Customer but as usual reaches voicemail as most use call blockers to avoid sales call nowadays .. With No Solution the case is closed and a survey is shot in the name of Tech Agent .. Customer gets the email and gets pissed off , writes almost everything which could humiliate xyz company and gives a rating of "Zero" , which means customer is higly dissatisfied with the customer care service .. !! This kind of survey hits the Tech Agent's career growth severly !! Tell me something is it Tech Support's fault for not having a wireless card on customer's computer ?? Why should Tech Support suffer ?? The retail stores who sell things why don't even bother to ask the customers such basic question ?? I hope this questions get answered by such XYZ company soon !!

Just for today I will try to live through the day only, and not tackle my whole life problem at once. I can do something for twelve hours that would appeal me if I felt I had to keep it up for a lifetime.

Just for today I will try to strengthen my mind. I will learn something useful, I will read something that requires effort, thought, and concentration.

Just for today I will exercise my soul in three ways; I will do somebody a good turn and not get found out. I will do at least two things I don't want to do -- just for exercise. And today if my feelings are hurt I will not show it to anyone.

Just for today I will look as well as I can, dress becomingly, talk quietly, act courteously, criticize not one bit, and not try to improve or regulate anybody except myself.

Just for today I will have a quiet half-hour all by myself for meditation and relaxation. During this half-hour i will try to get better perspective of my life.

Just for today I will be unafraid. Especially I will not be afraid to enjoy what is beautiful, and to believe that, as I give, the world will give to me.

As usual I am starting these blog with no idea what to write .. In the past i have written blogs regarding poems only .. Now what to write about ? This big question has been going around in my mind the whole day and after lot of thinking & day dreaming , I have decided to write only about myself , things i like and some thoughts which i would like to share with all [If anybody is reading these blog :) ].. so I am not gonna write anymore now as its quite late here and i need to sleep now !! so people keep reading blogs and also blog too..
